Rose quartz stands for unconditional love and is considered one of the most important stones for matters of the heart. Compassion, empathy and forgiveness are said to be increased by the pink gemstone.
It radiates security and, not least because of its color, you can feel a kind of tenderness that surrounds this stone.
Traditionally, the stone was used as radiation protection against earth rays or electromagnetic radiation. I remember that, especially in the 90s, I kept seeing the rose quartz chunks lying around in front of all the PC monitors and TV sets in various homes. So it definitely makes sense today too.

Regarding chakra theory, rose quartz is most likely to strengthen/harmonize your heart chakra (logical!), the sacral chakra (sexuality, fertility) and the root chakra.
